Get On The Boat!

In the days of Noah, who experienced the flood?

That probably seems like a strange question to ask. The answer seems obvious. Everyone on earth except Noah and his family experienced the flood, right?

Actually, even Noah and his family experienced the flood.  However, they're experience was vastly different from everyone else because they were in the ark.

Scripture says several times that all of us must stand before God at the final judgment.

Romans 14:10b-12 says, "...For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give praise to God. So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

2 Corinthians 5:10 says, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."

Interestingly enough, Jesus presents the flip side to appearing before the judgment seat in John 5:24.  He says, “Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment (emphasis added) but has passed from death to life.”

And herein lies the good news!!  All will stand at the judgment, but not all will come under judgment!  There are many who will have a vastly different experience at the judgment than the rest.  Why? Because they entered into the "ark" - Jesus Christ, who took their judgment for them on the cross!  Hallelujah!!

My prayer for all of us, and for as many people as we can influence, is the same as the title of this Sabbath's message - Get On The Boat!

Blessings church family, and remember, God is with you, God is for you, and God loves you!
